This resolution honors Major Christopher J. Foote, a U.S. Marine Corps officer from Georgetown, Texas, who is retiring in 2025 after more than two decades of distinguished military service. A 2005 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and an AH-1W Super Cobra helicopter pilot, Foote deployed multiple times to Afghanistan and Iraq and participated in global counterterrorism efforts with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. He was selected for the prestigious Weapons and Tactics Instructor course and most recently served with the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory in Quantico, Virginia. The resolution recognizes his exceptional skill, leadership, and devotion to duty, noting that he will transition to working as a medevac and search and rescue helicopter pilot with the Maryland Department of State Police Aviation Command. The Texas House of Representatives formally congratulates Major Foote on his retirement, extends best wishes for his future, and will prepare an official copy of the resolution as an expression of their high regard for his outstanding military service.
