This resolution honors James R. Hoyt for his fifty-year career with the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket, highlighting his significant contributions to the organization and community. Beginning in 1976 as a part-time physical education staff member, Hoyt progressively advanced through leadership roles, becoming CEO in 2004 and serving in that position for over two decades. During his tenure, he expanded the Club's programs, increased attendance, and led a successful $8 million capital campaign to expand the facility. Hoyt has been extensively involved in community service, serving on numerous boards and committees, and has received multiple professional recognitions, including being named a BGCA masters & mentor and being inducted into the Pawtucket Hall of Fame in 2022. The resolution congratulates and thanks Hoyt for his dedicated service, wishes him well in his retirement, and directs the Secretary of State to transmit an official copy of the resolution to him, recognizing him as an extraordinary example of committed community service.
