This bill modifies the existing law establishing the Mamaroneck public library district by changing the number of board trustees from a fixed number of eleven to a more flexible range of no less than five and no more than fifteen members. The bill updates two sections of the original 1991 law, specifying that the board composition will now align with section 260 of the education law. The trustees will continue to be elected by district voters, with each trustee eligible to serve a maximum of three consecutive three-year terms beginning on June 1st following their election.
