This concurrent resolution commends Joe Scheuermann for his exceptional baseball coaching career and his upcoming induction into the 2025 Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame. A long-time coach at Delgado Community College, Scheuermann became Louisiana's all-time winningest college baseball coach in May 2024, with 1,179 career victories over 34 seasons leading the Delgado Dolphins. His achievements include guiding the team to five Junior College (JUCO) World Series appearances, fourteen consecutive National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XXIII titles, and seventeen Super Regional berths. Scheuermann has also been inducted into the NJCAA Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame and the All-American Amateur Baseball Association Hall of Fame, and has helped over 300 student-athletes continue their careers at four-year institutions. Additionally, he is continuing his family's sports legacy, as he will be part of the fourth father-son combination enshrined in the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, following in the footsteps of his late father, Louis "Rags" Scheuermann, who founded the Delgado baseball program and was inducted in 1990.
