This resolution honors the life of Denise Elaine Marshall of Cedar Park, Texas, who passed away on December 15, 2024, at age 63 after a decade-long battle with Stage IV lung cancer. Born in Piqua, Ohio, Marshall worked for over 30 years as an x-ray technician and mammographer, and despite her serious medical diagnosis, she lived with remarkable resilience and positivity. She became an advocate for lung cancer awareness and research, while finding her greatest joy in supporting her daughter Corrine Belle Richardson, who graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2024. The resolution pays tribute to Marshall's courage, compassion, and determination, extends condolences to her family, including her daughter Corrine and sister Shelia Marshall Eckert, and directs that an official copy of the resolution be prepared for her family. The Texas House of Representatives unanimously adopted this resolution on June 1, 2025, adjourning in memory of Denise Marshall.
