This bill establishes the "Reporting of Law Enforcement Officer Misconduct Privacy Act," which protects the confidentiality of individuals who file complaints about law enforcement officer misconduct. If someone violates the confidentiality requirements by improperly disclosing a complainant's identity, they can be subject to a civil fine of up to $500.
