This resolution pays tribute to Jon Kevin Rowe, a longtime Gladewater resident who passed away on April 9, 2025, at age 58, by highlighting his significant life achievements and community contributions. Born in 1966 to Jimmy and Jean Rowe, Kevin was a graduate of Gladewater High School and Texas A&M University who worked for nearly 35 years at Eastman Chemical Company in Longview and served in important community leadership roles, including as president of the Kilgore College Board of Trustees and a trustee for the Gladewater Independent School District. The resolution also honors his 35-year marriage to Cindy Tallent, his role as a father to three daughters and grandfather to four grandchildren, and his lifelong commitment to the First Baptist Church of Gladewater. The Texas Senate officially recognizes Rowe's dedication to his family, faith, and community, extends sympathy to his loved ones, and will prepare an official copy of the resolution for his family while adjourning in his memory, acknowledging the lasting respect and admiration he earned throughout his life.
