This concurrent resolution recognizes and commends the 35 young men from various Delaware high schools who participated in the 2025 session of Delaware Boys State, an educational program sponsored by the American Legion Department of Delaware. During the week-long session from June 8-12, 2025, these students learned about the legislative process, state government operations, and democratic practices by engaging in hands-on activities such as electing a mock Governor and leadership for both Houses of the General Assembly. The resolution highlights that the participants gained valuable insights into the American system of representative democracy, including election procedures, legislative caucus and committee systems, and bill-making processes. The resolution formally congratulates the students on their successful session, wishes them success in their future endeavors, and expresses hope that some might eventually become elected representatives. Additionally, the resolution commends the American Legion Department of Delaware for sponsoring this important educational program and provides that copies of the resolution be presented to each delegate and the event sponsor.
