The bill defines "housing loss" broadly, encompassing displacement against a person's will through court-ordered evictions, informal evictions, foreclosures due to missed mortgage or tax payments, and displacement from natural disasters. The ultimate goal is to create a more comprehensive understanding of housing instability in the United States and provide actionable insights for policymakers.
