The Department of Labor and Industry will enforce the act, with a progressive penalty system for violations: first violation results in a warning, second violation incurs a $500 fine, third violation brings a $1,000 fine and public listing, and fourth and subsequent violations result in a $2,000 fine and continued public listing. The act will take effect 60 days after passage.
