The House of Representatives formally honors Smith's accomplishments as an industry pioneer, an inspiration to future entrepreneurs, and a dedicated community leader, and requests that an official copy of the resolution be sent to his family, which includes his wife, nine children, 31 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
