This resolution requires the Attorney General to publicly release, within 30 days of enactment, all credible documents, records, and communications related to the Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell investigations, including those from the Department of Justice, FBI, and US Attorneys' Offices. The resolution prohibits withholding documents solely due to embarrassment or political sensitivity, but allows limited redactions to protect victims' personally identifiable information, prevent disclosure of child sexual abuse materials, safeguard ongoing investigations, protect grand jury proceedings, and shield classified national security information. The Attorney General must provide written justification for any redactions, publish these justifications in the Federal Register, and submit them to Congress. Additionally, the resolution requires the Attorney General to declassify information to the maximum extent possible, and if full declassification is not feasible, to provide an unclassified summary. Within 15 days of completing the document release, the Attorney General must submit a report to congressional judiciary committees detailing the records released and withheld, a summary of redactions, and a list of government officials and politically exposed persons mentioned in the materials.
