The database will be published online within one year of the bill's enactment and will include detailed information about enforcement actions, such as the specific business entities or individuals involved, the type of offense, relevant statutes violated, the federal agency bringing the action, and the outcome of the enforcement action. Federal agencies will be required to submit information about corporate offenses to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, following guidance established by the Director. Each year, the Director must submit a report to Congress analyzing the collected data, including insights into recidivism, the impact of corporate offenses on victims and the public, and recommendations for improving federal agencies' ability to monitor and deter corporate misconduct. Additionally, the bill requires the Chief Data Officer Council to identify ways federal agencies can improve the collection, digitalization, and sharing of information related to corporate offenses. The database aims to increase transparency and provide a comprehensive view of corporate criminal and regulatory violations.
