This bill directs the Secretary of Education to reissue and award a contract for the "Charting My Path for Future Success" project within 90 days of the Act's enactment. The project, originally authorized under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, is designed to support high school students with disabilities by training educators to help these students set meaningful life and educational goals, develop action plans, and regularly reflect on and adjust their progress. Specifically, the bill references a previous iteration of the project where 61 educators began working with 1,600 high school students across 13 local educational agencies in January 2025. The bill includes a unique provision that prevents the contract from being canceled without Congressional approval, ensuring continuity and sustained support for students with disabilities in their educational and personal development planning.
