This bill provides a specific immigration relief measure for Jeanette Vizguerra-Ramirez by creating a pathway to permanent resident status (green card) that bypasses standard immigration procedures. Under this bill, Vizguerra-Ramirez would be eligible to apply for an immigrant visa or adjust her status to lawful permanent residence, regardless of typical immigration restrictions. She must apply within two years of the Act's enactment and enter the United States before the filing deadline. If she meets these conditions and is otherwise eligible, she will be considered to have entered and remained in the country lawfully. As a consequence of granting her permanent residence, the number of available immigrant visas for her country of origin will be reduced by one.
