This resolution honors Dr. Tedd L. He made substantial impacts in higher education, healthcare, and community engagement, helping the system generate a $19.2 billion statewide economic impact while supporting underserved rural areas through workforce development and strategic partnerships. Dr. Mitchell was also instrumental in creating innovative programs like the Big Cure Surgical Oncology Fellowship Program and acquiring a comprehensive health and fitness research database, demonstrating his commitment to preventive medicine and improving healthcare outcomes. The Texas House of Representatives commends Dr. Mitchell for his extraordinary dedication to the Texas Tech University System, its institutions, and the communities they serve, and resolves to prepare an official copy of the resolution as an expression of high regard.
