This resolution honors the search and rescue team from Fundación 911, a Mexican emergency response organization from Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, for their critical assistance during the July 4, 2025 Hill Country flood in Texas. The resolution recognizes the team's significant contributions, which included a 13-member Protección Civil firefighter and K-9 unit that conducted extensive search and recovery operations across more than 100 river miles in Kerr County. Working under the Mountain Home Fire Department and alongside local, state, and volunteer responders, the team performed waterborne searches, shoreline sweeps, debris excavations, and cadaver detection in dangerous and swift water conditions. The resolution highlights the team's courage, professionalism, and spirit of international solidarity, noting that their efforts not only reduced strain on local responders but also provided crucial support and consolation to families during an extraordinary time of grief. The Texas House of Representatives formally honors the team, extends best wishes to its members, and will prepare an official copy of the resolution as an expression of high regard and appreciation for their exceptional service.
