Born on September 14, 2006, Ava was a distinguished student-athlete who graduated from Timber Creek High School in Fort Worth in 2024, where she was captain of the basketball team and a varsity golf player. After graduating, she began her first year at the U.S. Air Force Academy Preparatory School in Colorado Springs, where she was a standout basketball player and had plans to enter the academy as a cadet with the Class of 2029. Ava was known for her linguistic skills, interest in languages like Korean and Chinese, and her passion for art, music, literature, and international relations. The resolution highlights her kindness, determination, and positive influence on her peers, and includes recognizing November 7, 2025, as Ava Moore Day in her memory. The Texas House of Representatives extends its deepest condolences to her family, including her mother Tamara, father Robert, and brother Robert, and will prepare an official copy of the resolution for her family while adjourning in her memory.
