This resolution commemorates the 2025 Global Encounters Festival, an international event organized by the Ismaili Muslim community that took place in Dubai from July 20-27, 2025. The festival brought together 4,000 artists and athletes from over 50 countries, attracting more than 25,000 visitors, and focused on promoting tolerance, cultural understanding, and intercultural unity through arts, sports, and sustainability efforts. The event featured an International Art Gallery with over 250 artworks, film screenings, music and theater performances, and the Jubilee Games, which included 17 sports and awarded 508 medals across 21 national teams. The festival operated across three domains: Youth Leadership and Development, Arts, Culture, and Heritage, and Sports and Fitness, and was supported by over 3,000 on-site volunteers. By highlighting the involvement of Ismaili Muslims from Texas, particularly those in House District 76, the resolution aims to recognize their leadership and celebrate the festival's achievements in promoting global understanding, environmental stewardship, and cultural exchange.
