This resolution mourns the death of Eunice Alexander, a deeply respected community member who passed away on August 19, 2025, after living a life dedicated to faith, family, and service. Born in Nesbit, Mississippi in 1937, Alexander was a long-time member of New Faith M.B. Church, where she served in multiple capacities including the Deaconess Board, choir, and Sunday school department, and was particularly known for her involvement in the Feed the Hungry Outreach Ministry, where she cooked meals for those in need. The resolution highlights her role as a devoted wife to Odell "Sonny" Alexander for 68 years, a mother to five children, and a nurturing figure to numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren, and church members who affectionately called her "Momma". The Illinois House of Representatives extends its deepest condolences to her surviving family, which includes her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and many other relatives and friends, and resolves to present a copy of this memorial resolution to her family as an expression of sympathy.
