This bill modifies the sentencing guidelines for several criminal offenses related to prostitution and human trafficking in Michigan's criminal code. The bill makes several key changes, including increasing the severity of sentencing classifications for specific offenses: upgrading the classification for third or subsequent prostitution offenses from Class G to Class E, changing the classification for soliciting a person under 18 to commit prostitution from Class E to Class B (with a maximum sentence increased from 5 to 20 years), and elevating the human trafficking violation classification from Class D to Class B (with the maximum sentence increasing from 10 to 20 years).
