The funding will be distributed based on the number of full-time equivalent ELLs and their performance levels on these assessments, with different funding percentages tied to their composite scores: 75% of the target foundation allowance for students scoring between 1.0-1.9, 50% for those scoring between 2.0-2.9, and 35% for those scoring between 3.0-3.9. This tiered approach provides financial support that correlates with students' English language proficiency levels, incentivizing schools to support ELLs in developing their English skills while recognizing the additional educational resources needed for students at different stages of language acquisition.
