The bill also states that existing ranges, operating in compliance with generally accepted practices, can continue their operations and make necessary repairs or renovations within their existing boundaries, and can even reconstruct damaged facilities within a year, regardless of new or amended local ordinances. This means that a range's ability to operate and make improvements is protected as long as it follows established industry standards and was legal when it began operating.
