This resolution congratulates the Seattle Sounders FC for becoming the first Major League Soccer (MLS) team to win all 5 major North American soccer trophies, a historic achievement accomplished on August 31, 2025, by winning the Leagues Cup. The team has previously won the Lamar Hunt United States Open Cup multiple times (in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2014), the Supporters' Shield in 2014, MLS Cup in 2016 and 2019, and the CONCACAF Champions Cup in 2022. In the Leagues Cup 2025 Final, they defeated Inter Miami CF 3-0 in front of 69,314 fans at Lumen Field, which was the highest attended soccer match in Washington State history.
