This bill amends the Pennsylvania Game Commission's rules for junior hunter projects by establishing a new youth antlered deer season that will allow young hunters to have a dedicated hunting opportunity. Specifically, the bill creates a five-day hunting period that will occur just before the regular firearms deer season, during which junior hunters with either a junior hunting license or a special permit for hunters 12 years old and younger can obtain and use one antlered deer tag. The new provisions will go into effect 60 days after the bill is signed into law.
