This bill creates a new "American Motorcyclist Association" specialty license plate in Ohio, allowing motorcycle owners and other vehicle owners to apply for a license plate that supports the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA). When an applicant registers for these plates, they will pay a $15 contribution that goes into the state's license plate contribution fund, which will be used by the AMA to promote the motorcycle lifestyle and protect the future of motorcycling. The registrar will also collect a $10 administrative fee to cover the costs of issuing the specialty plates. The plates will display a logo and words selected by AMA representatives and approved by the state registrar, and will include county identification stickers. Eligible vehicles include passenger cars, noncommercial motor vehicles, recreational vehicles, motorcycles, and cab-enclosed motorcycles. The bill amends existing sections of the Ohio Revised Code to incorporate these new specialty license plates into the state's motor vehicle registration system.
