The study must catalog which state agencies are currently using AI, document the specific purposes of their AI applications, and calculate the procurement, implementation, and operational costs of AI-powered technologies. By March 1, 2027, the Florida Digital Service must submit a detailed written report of their findings to the Governor, Senate President, and House Speaker. For the purposes of this bill, a "state agency" is defined expansively to include any separate unit of state government, such as authorities, boards, departments, divisions, commissions, and public corporations. The bill aims to provide transparency and understanding of how AI is being utilized across Florida's government agencies and the associated financial investments.
