This bill authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to use emergency acquisition flexibilities for contracting services within the Grand Canyon National Park areas impacted by the Dragon Bravo Fire. The emergency contracting authority specifically covers forest management and restoration activities, rebuilding and planning of fire-damaged structures, ground and structure improvements, and recovery efforts. The bill requires the Secretary to submit detailed reports to congressional committees every 180 days, including information about recovery costs, contractor details, potential conflicts of interest, and project progress. The emergency contracting authority will expire after 5 years or when recovery efforts are complete, whichever comes first. The Secretary can request a 12-month extension if a new wildfire impacts the recovery efforts. The bill defines the "covered area" as the sections of Grand Canyon National Park affected by the Dragon Bravo Fire and is formally titled the "North Rim Restoration Act of 2025".
