AI Summary

This bill amends the Pharmacy Practice Act to require aspiring pharmacists to complete an approved program and assessment on Illinois pharmacy law, developed by the Illinois Pharmacists Association or another entity approved by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, in addition to existing requirements. It also changes the consequence for failing to pass the licensing exam within three years of applying from denial of the application to its expiration, meaning the applicant would need to reapply. Furthermore, the bill mandates that two of the 30 required hours of continuing education for license renewal must be specifically on pharmacy law, ensuring pharmacists stay current with legal regulations governing their practice.
