This resolution mourns the passing of Rosemary S. Argus, a dedicated public servant from Des Plaines, Illinois, who made significant contributions to her community through various leadership roles. Argus served as a commissioner on the Mount Prospect Park District Board from 1974 to 2001, becoming the first female commissioner and president, and later served as an alderperson on the Des Plaines City Council from 2001 to 2011. Throughout her career, she worked full-time at United Airlines for over 20 years and was actively involved in community service, including serving as executive director of the Des Plaines Community Foundation and the Edward and Wanda Jordan Family Foundation.
