This resolution honors and congratulates the Walker Valley High School Lady Mustangs softball team for winning the 2025 Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) Class 4A state championship, highlighting their remarkable achievements both on and off the field. The team, consisting of five seniors and several underclassmen, completed an impressive season with a 36-8 overall record and a perfect 10-0 postseason performance, securing multiple championships including the District 5AAAA regular season and tournament titles, the Region 3AAAA regional championship, and the sectional championship. In the state tournament, they outscored opponents 34-20, clinching the state title with a come-from-behind 10-8 victory over Green Hill High School. Beyond their athletic success, the team demonstrated exceptional academic prowess with a cumulative GPA of 3.81 in the spring and 3.92 in the fall, and demonstrated community commitment through various volunteer activities. The resolution recognizes the team's leadership, including Head Coach Lauren Limburg and Assistant Coach April Richards, and commends the players for embodying the highest standards of student-athlete excellence, character, and dedication.
