This bill creates a new specialty license plate for the Ohio Council of Skin and Scuba Divers, Inc. The bill allows vehicle owners to apply for a special license plate featuring a logo and words approved by the organization. When someone registers a vehicle with this specialty plate, they will pay a standard registration fee plus an additional $10 contribution that will be deposited into the state's license plate contribution fund. The $10 administrative fee will go to the public safety-highway purposes fund. The Ohio Council of Skin and Scuba Divers, Inc. will receive the contributions to support its scholarships, outreach, and educational activities. The plate will be available for passenger cars, non-commercial motor vehicles, recreational vehicles, and other vehicle classes approved by the motor vehicle registrar. The bill also amends existing law to include this new specialty plate in the list of organizations that receive contributions from specialty license plate fees.
