The bill also clarifies that the township's name can only be changed once every 25 years and includes a tie-bar provision, meaning it will only take effect if another specific bill, Senate Bill No. 691 of the 103rd Legislature, is also enacted into law, with the changes taking effect on January 1, 2028.
