This bill authorizes the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) to convey specific parcels of land in the town of Norton to the town for redevelopment purposes. The parcels, originally taken for highway purposes in 1973, include portions of three specific Parcel IDs (11-16, 11-14-01, and 11-15) as recorded in the Bristol northern district registry of deeds. Before finalizing the transfer, MassDOT will complete a survey to determine the exact boundaries of the parcels. The land will be sold at full market value as determined by MassDOT's office of real estate and economic development, and will be conveyed "as is" through a standard release deed. The town of Norton may sell or lease the parcels for redevelopment, and if it does so, must return the proceeds to the Commonwealth to offset the original market value.
