AI Summary

This bill revises provisions relating to governmental cybersecurity administration by creating the Security Operations Center within the Governor's Technology Office. The bill establishes new provisions for protecting state information systems, including creating a closed-meeting exception for discussions about cybersecurity threats, prohibiting disclosure of certain sensitive cybersecurity information, and defining new responsibilities for the Security Operations Center. The center will be required to provide cybersecurity services to state agencies, including real-time monitoring of cyber infrastructure, threat mitigation, and incident response. The bill also creates an Account for the Security Operations Center, allows the center to apply for federal grants, and requires an annual report assessing its effectiveness. Additionally, the bill expands the definition of "local governmental agency" to include school district boards of trustees, authorizing them to use the Governor's Technology Office services. The legislation includes provisions for developing a Cybersecurity Talent Pipeline Program in collaboration with the Nevada System of Higher Education and makes several appropriations to support cybersecurity investments and address potential revenue shortfalls in various technology-related divisions.
