This bill requires the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) to evaluate various gasoline blends, including federal and California reformulated gasoline and conventional gasoline, using the latest air emissions modeling approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for specific areas and time periods within Arizona. The ADEQ must then publish a report on its findings, identifying any gasoline blends that might be approved by the EPA for sale or use in Arizona, and submit this report to various state officials. Following this, the Arizona Department of Agriculture's weights and measures services division will conduct a feasibility study on these potentially eligible gasoline blends, assessing their impact on the state's fuel supply and availability, and will also publish a report with its findings, keeping information from suppliers confidential. Both of these requirements are set to expire on September 30, 2027, and the bill appropriates $100,000 to the ADEQ for air emissions modeling and another $100,000 to the Department of Agriculture for the fuel blend feasibility study for fiscal year 2026-2027.
