This bill amends the definition of "hemp" in New Hampshire law to explicitly include the total tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) concentration, which is a psychoactive compound found in cannabis. Specifically, it clarifies that hemp is the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of it, including seeds and all derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, and their related chemical forms, as long as the total THC concentration does not exceed 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis. This total THC concentration calculation will now include tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA), which converts to THC when heated.
