This bill directs the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) to take possession of the Sununu Youth Services Center (SYSC) property, negotiate its sale, and seek approval from the governor and council for any contracts related to the sale. The DAS can also request additional funds to maintain the property until it's sold, which also requires approval from the fiscal committee and the governor and council. If the sale is completed by June 30, 2027, the money from the sale will go into the state's general fund; however, if the sale happens after that date, the proceeds will be deposited into the youth development center settlement fund, which is a fund established to handle settlements related to youth development centers. The bill also repeals previous legislation concerning the possession and sale of the SYSC property.
