The bill also repeals existing statutes related to antique vehicle exemptions and will take effect 60 days after passage. Notably, the fiscal impact analysis suggests this change could reduce state highway fund revenue by $2.7 million to $4.5 million annually, as approximately 75,000 vehicles would become eligible for lower-cost antique vehicle registration (dropping from $42-$66 to $6 per year), with a proportional reduction in local municipality revenue distributions.
