Specifically, 340B covered hospitals located in Missouri must submit an annual report to the state's Department of Health and Senior Services by April 1st each year, detailing comprehensive information about their 340B program participation. The required reporting includes details such as the hospital's identification information, aggregate drug acquisition and payment costs, number of prescription drug claims, how program savings are used (such as for charity care), payments to contract pharmacies and program managers, total operating costs, charity care costs, and the hospital's financial assistance policy. The report must break down certain financial data by payer type (commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, and uninsured), and the submitted data will be considered closed records. The department is then required to compile these individual hospital reports into an aggregated electronic report to be shared with the state legislature and published on the department's website by November 15th.
