Furthermore, the bill expands the Attorney General's authority to intervene in legal matters, stating that they shall intervene when requested by the Governor or either house of the legislature, and may intervene in any other court or tribunal within the state if they believe it is in the state's best interest, in any civil or criminal case where the state is a party or has an interest.
