This bill amends Section 63I-1-213 of Utah state law by extending the repeal date for the Land Use and Eminent Domain Advisory Board from July 1, 2026, to July 1, 2036. The Land Use and Eminent Domain Advisory Board is a state entity that provides guidance and oversight on land use issues and eminent domain (the power of government to take private property for public use). The bill maintains the existing repeal dates for other related entities, such as the Office of Professional Licensure Review (which will be repealed on July 1, 2034) and the Office of the Homeowners' Association Ombudsman (which will be repealed on July 1, 2030). The bill is set to take effect on May 6, 2026, and essentially provides the Land Use and Eminent Domain Advisory Board with an additional ten years of operation before its mandatory dissolution.
