This bill, known as the "Victims Protection and Child Sex Buyer Accountability Act," aims to strengthen protections for minors by increasing the age of victims in prostitution-related offenses. Specifically, it raises the age of a victim from fifteen to eighteen years old in the crime of patronizing a person for prostitution in the second degree, and from thirteen to fifteen years old in certain circumstances of patronizing a person for prostitution. The bill also updates the age of a victim from sixteen to eighteen years old for aggravated patronizing a minor for prostitution in the third degree, and from thirteen to fifteen years old for promoting prostitution in the first degree.
