Importantly, this section will now apply to individuals who commit a similar offense in another jurisdiction that would be considered delivery of a controlled substance causing death if it occurred in Missouri. For the purposes of this law, a "controlled substance" refers to specific drugs listed in Schedule I or Schedule II, as defined by state law.
