It mandates that when a minister or a designated religious organization agent has reasonable cause to suspect child abuse or neglect, they must immediately report it. If a minister or religious organization staff member becomes aware of potential abuse but does not personally report it, a designated agent of the religious organization becomes responsible for making the report. This change aims to ensure that potential child abuse or neglect is not kept hidden and is promptly reported to the appropriate authorities, prioritizing child protection over religious communication confidentiality.
