Specifically, the Secretary must ensure these services include telehealth, meaning healthcare delivered remotely through technology, and mail-order pharmacy services for medications. The bill sets deadlines for initiating outreach to the FAS governments, entering into these agreements, and beginning to furnish these services, generally within one year of the bill's enactment. It also amends existing law to ensure that if the Secretary makes payments for beneficiary travel, which refers to travel expenses for veterans receiving care, they must do so consistently. Finally, the Secretary is required to submit regular reports to Congress on the implementation progress and costs.
