This bill clarifies existing laws regarding trespass and game and fish trespass by creating an exception for individuals who are crossing at the corner where two parcels of land owned by a local government, the state, or the federal government meet, provided they are authorized to access both parcels and do so by foot without touching or damaging any adjacent private property. This exception applies to both criminal trespass and the offense of entering or traveling through private property without permission to hunt, fish, collect antlers, or trap, with "travel through or return across" being defined as physically touching or driving on the surface of private property. The bill also specifies an immediate effective date upon completion of all necessary legal steps for a bill to become law.
