This bill amends existing Oklahoma law regarding the unlawful carry of firearms to specifically authorize the transport of a firearm, whether concealed or unconcealed, loaded or unloaded, on a vessel on the waters of this state, provided the person is at least twenty-one years old or is eighteen to twenty years old and a member or veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, Reserves, or National Guard, or was honorably discharged, and is otherwise legally permitted to possess a firearm and not using it for criminal purposes. The bill also defines "vessel" as any device, excluding a seaplane on water, used for transportation on water, and clarifies that this new provision does not alter other existing restrictions on where firearms can be legally carried, with the changes taking effect on November 1, 2026.
