This bill establishes the Oklahoma State Agency, Board, and Commission Review Task Force, a group composed of nine members appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the Governor, with co-chairs designated by the legislative leaders. The task force's primary duties are to examine how well state agencies, boards, and commissions are functioning, whether they are still needed, and to suggest to the Legislature ways to eliminate, combine, or change their responsibilities. The task force will submit its findings and recommendations electronically to legislative leaders and the Governor by January 31, 2027, and annually thereafter. While task force members will not receive salaries, they can be reimbursed for travel expenses by the entity that appointed them, and staffing will be provided by the Senate and House of Representatives. The bill also declares an emergency, meaning it will take effect immediately upon passage and approval.
