This bill amends existing law to allow school-age children who are residents of a school district, but not enrolled as full-time students in that district, to participate in any activities offered by the district, including those sanctioned by the Wyoming High School Activities Association, provided they are not suspended or expelled. The Wyoming High School Activities Association is a governing body that sets rules for interscholastic sports and other extracurricular activities in Wyoming. This change expands the types of activities these students can join beyond those specifically listed in the current law. The bill will take effect for the 2026-2027 school year and subsequent years, with a general effective date of July 1, 2026.
